Description

Class Details:
Addison Elementary School is teaming up with Peninsula Youth Theatre to offer after-school drama this year. Students will learn the basics of acting, character development, storytelling, and theatre terminology while having fun and rehearsing a short play (Alice in Wonderland). Parents will be responsible for providing their child's simple costume and helping with props. Class is open to grades 4 - 5.

Meets Wednesdays, 1:15 - 2:30 pm, September 9th - November 18th, with a final performance on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:30 pm.

*No Class on November 11th*

Play Synopsis: After Alice tumbles down a mysterious rabbit hole, she finds herself in a strange land where everyone is raving mad. With the help of a Cheshire Cat, an astute Caterpillar, a Mad Hatter, and many other colorful characters, Alice must outsmart the Queen of Hearts and find her way home.

As consideration for participation in a class or activity offered by Peninsula Youth Theatre (PYT) I hereby agree that I, my spouse, children, assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue or attach the property of PYT, or any agent, employee, or member thereof, for injury or damage to my child (or children or legal ward) or self, whether resulting from the negligent acts, or howsoever otherwise caused, as a result of our participation in said class or activity. I hereby release PYT and its agents, employees, and members from all actions, claims or demands that I, my spouse, children, assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians and legal representatives now have or may hereafter have for injury or damage resulting from my or my child’s or legal ward’s participation in said class or activity. Participant and his or her legal guardian consent to the use of his or her likeness in photographs or video taken by PYT for advertising and other promotional purposes without payment. REFUND POLICY AND CANCELLATION FEES: $20 for all cancellations before start of session. Cancellations made within 48 hours after the first class of the session will be $35. There are no refunds after that time.
